Fairy Frock

My daughter and I were laying in our fields talking about the first grade and enjoying a little IZZE (sparkling fruit juice if your not familar) when I snapped this image.  It was an overcast day and as you can see my white balance was awful and I picked up color reflection on her skin from the pink blanket (note to self about pink blankets for photoshoots).  This is one of my all time favorite images though, and a clear example of how shooting in RAW saved me!  By adjusting the white balance and using the Fairy Frock preset from the Fairytale Set, I managed to get acceptable tones throughout the image.  I also used my adjustment brush throughout the image to increase some areas with Saturation (the grass and her dress) and I ran the  brightness brush over her,  to brighten her a little more from the background.   I highly recommend using your adjustment brush with Lightroom presets.  It is a fabulous way to help with skin tones and isolate areas for brightness, exposure, and saturation increases and decreases!

A Bit of Magic….

I generally like to keep the post preset related but I really felt I wanted to share this…

Recently this image was featured on the very inspiring site, Cloud Dreaming.  It’s an incredibly inspiring site and a perfect place to see imaginations roam free.  It’s totally worth dropping by for a bit… here is the link to my entry but be sure to visit the others as well…

****************UPDATE***************

This giveaway is now closed and I am thrilled to say that I gave ALL three sets away to new AOW sponsors and one time donations!  The 100 sponsors in 100 days campaign is still in full swing so it’s not too late to become a sponsor!  Thank you everyone for spreading the word to help these beautiful children.

I believe in giving back to His kingdom when able, which is why when I launched the Boutique, I decided to give 10% of all preset profits back to a non-profit charity of my choice.   I chose An Orphans Wish because I believe in their mission and loved that 98% of all donations are used to directly help the kiddos there.  An Orphans Wish has just launched a beautiful new website filled with wonderful information about the organization and ways you can help.  If your heart feels led please stop by for a visit, but I warn you.. there is some serious cuteness overload going on there!

I’ve been wanting to post an entire session edited with One Willow Presets for you all and at last… here it is!   All of the images below were edited with Fairytale and Reign from The Fairytale Set. I finished up in PS CS4 to create this collage for the web.

And in case your wondering… this was one of my attempts at getting my brood together for some images (minus the Big guy). I originally planned on a session for just my daughter but the boys were looking mighty cute that evening so it was a must… I didn’t quite get all the shots I wanted but I’m not complaining when you consider it was four little one’s under the age of six!
Hope you enjoy!

My daughters outfit was inspired by my sweet friend Shana Rae of Florabella Collections. ♥
